Stanton's Single Deck Theory
What happens when you take a Stanton S-500 dual CD player and cut it in half? Well, if you decide to do this at home you'll end up with an S-500 cut in half. (I thoroughly recommend that you don't do this without thinking of the consequences).
But if Stanton does it, then you'll end up with the S-250, Stanton's debut single-deck top-loading DJ CD player.
Aimed at the up-and-coming DJ, the S-250 shares the same features as it's dual deck brother, the S-500. Instant start, up to +/- 16% pitch control with pitch bend, real-time cueing and fader start makes this little unit the perfect counterpart for small, budget DJ consoles. Add a digital S/PDIF out, and the S-250 is also at home or in the studio for sampling audio in the digital domain.
The ergonomics of the CD player have also been well thought out, with the most used buttons close to the bottom face of the unit, and the bright LCD screen immediately above them making it easy to see the all-important track information.
The S-250 will be available in late April 2002 from your favourite Stanton reseller, with a recommended retail price of $569.00.
